From whence we hail

Once an orphan of the Shroud, Sive sought the first opportunity to leave Gridania behind. A short stint in the mines of Thanalan brought her coin and friendship, but home lay in seafoam and salt winds.She signed on the first pirate crew that would take her and proved an adept sailor and clever wit, eager to tinker and take things apart to understand how they worked.Her ship was at sea when the Calamity struck, caught midst storm and meteor shower. Not a few hands were lost, including the captain, and Sive's sharp direction kept the rest clinging to life aboard a battered vessel.They rewarded her by putting her in charge.

the Discourteous Siren

A brig-style sailing ship, the Siren runs supplies between ports, not all of it legal. She also routinely runs by the border of Garlemald's territory to hassle ships and steal technology, which fascinates her captain. She has a diverse crew of 16-odd hands, a surprisingly fierce array of weapons, and is equipped with a darksteel heavy harpoon. There is an ongoing project to fit the Siren to be capable of flight.
